You voted for it - so here’s an excerpt on Communism, the ideology that hasn’t quite gone to plan. Plus, the big news: Bear Necessities drops 31 October 2024!
I'm surprised that the Americans are not equally afraid of Fascism as they are afraid of Communism!
The two biggest cons of fascism is to always accuse the other side of what they are actually doing and to divide the population with scapegoats and rule!
It seems that in the modern USA*, accusing the other side is largely the point. Ever since Reagan tore up the idea of social consensus, blaming someone else for your own problems is the default. "Greed is good" and all that. So I think fascism comes naturally to people of that mindset, whereas communism has become as meaningless to them as woke, just an insult to assist and justify the blame game.
*Personally I hate using "America" to mean "USA". America is two continents, even North America is 3 large countries, and the USA isn't the biggest. Just more arrogance (or ignorance?) in believing their own country is the only one that matters on those continents.
